six in the morning

Six in the morning
At a modest motel
Checking out, the
Free breakfast as well.
Muffins, sweet. English.
Pale bananas too firm.
Orange juice and coffee
No tea.
A tiny stash, whole leaf
A teapot and six little cups.
Hot water was easy.
Soon, all was right.

Regena, I loved your poem! Small realities loom large in our lives–a small thing can turn the wheel!

Regena,
I think you’ve got a hidden talent that you’ve not let us see before, WELL DONE! I love this wonderful little poem (and YES I know that you are a teacher so it shouldn’t come as any shock to those of us who “know” you that you write poetry) but keep on putting them here. It’s Good Friday and I’ve just placed an order with Sandy for some more lovely T Ching whole leaf teas so right now I’m going to indulge in a cuppa since today is a day for fast and abstinance. As always, CHEERS and thanks again for the poem.
Peace and Easter Blessings upon the whole T Ching web community.
