With the U.S. economy still struggling, what do you do when you’re on financially shaky ground and stressed out? With the cost of health care being what it is, we just can’t afford to get sick. So it is important to focus on staying healthy. An interesting article in QRS Magazine speaks of tea as an old, “new” breakfast drink that can deliver the health benefits we all seek:
“That health halo extends to tea, which is also having its day in the breakfast sun. “It could be the next coffee,” says Joe Pawlak, vice president of Chicago-based Technomic. A decade ago, tea was boring, and sales were flat, Pawlak says, adding that with the introduction of variety, the category is poised to move forward in the next few years, especially green tea for its health benefits.”
So when you’re feeling stressed and want to increase those wonderful polyphenols, think about having a delicious cup of green or white tea. No sugar needed if brewed properly. It’s easy and sure to please. Switch from coffee to tea and you’ll be healthier for it. It never hurts to be trendy.
