Inspired by The New York Times best-selling book, Three Cups of Tea, Tea Party Angels is an innovative concept that turns a girl’s tea party into a fundraiser for girls’ education around the world. Imagine thousands of young girls hosting tea parties across the country and asking their friends to bring a small donation – $20 perhaps – that they earned from doing a chore or task determined by their mothers. Our goal is to raise millions of dollars for worthy causes that support girls’ education like Greg Mortenson’s Central Asia Institute.
Our web site makes it easy. We provide a complete, moderately priced “fun-raising” tea party kit that has everything needed for a fab tea party, including invitations, tea cups, beaded bracelets handcrafted by girls in Guatemala, an informative and inspiring DVD, and a “Tea-Shirt”-making kit – a fun and creative way to keep girls engaged.
Celebrities are getting behind the cause – including big-time support from Christie Brinkley and rising young actress Emerald-Angel Young – helping to inspire mothers and daughters to make a difference. Celebrity names in the tea community are also rallying behind the initiative with help from tea authority Ellen Easton and SalonTea®’s Tracy Stern.
We would like to have tea shops and tea consultants all over the country encourage their customers to host Tea Party Angels events at their shops. It’s a great way to build business and give back at the same time – a win-win for everyone.
A “Tea Shop” locator is available on the Tea Party Angels web site, where participating tea shops and consultants can list their business for a $100 donation. We will provide these participants with promotional literature to distribute to customers.

What a wonderful idea. Thanks for your efforts – Bravo!
